Albrecht Dürer (21 May 1471 – 6 April 1528) sometimes spelt in English as Durer or Duerer, was a painter, printmaker, and theorist of the German Renaissance. Born in Nuremberg, Dürer established his reputation and influence across Europe when he was still in his twenties due to his high-quality woodcut prints. He was in communication with the major Italian artists of his time, including Raphael, Giovanni Bellini and Leonardo da Vinci.


When printing on canvas, we add 2 inches (5 cm), on each side, for stretching on the frame
When printing on paper, on each side there will be fields of 0.5 cm for the frame
If you're buying a frame: either 1" (2.5 cm) or 1.4" (3.5 cm) is added, depending on the type of frame, due to its size.
